IHSS line staff must use the Timesheet Exception Queue, generated daily via Case Management, Information and Payrolling System (CMIPS), to actively manage and resolve all timesheet exceptions in a timely manner to prevent unnecessary delays of provider payments.
Staff must not use the Timesheet Exception Report to resolve timesheet exceptions.

The Timesheet Exception Queue is a daily report organized by subject, due date and priority that is accessible via CMIPS, and comprised of five categories:
The Timesheet Exception Report, located in the Time and Attendance folder, is a weekly report that was developed to assist IHSS staff with tracking and managing timesheet errors identified during timesheet processing at the Timesheet Processing Facility.
Payroll Supervisor Queue
Tasks are escalated to this queue when Timesheet Eligibility Errors and Timesheet Errors tasks go unreserved after one business day or unresolved two business days after being reserved.
Timesheet Errors Queue
Tasks related to errors on the timesheet appear in this queue.
Timesheet Eligibility Errors Queue
Tasks related to recipient and/or provider ineligibility during the service period for which time claimed for work was submitted appear in this queue.
Timesheet over 70% Queue
Tasks related to timesheets where over 70% of the total of the authorized hours are claimed in the Part A timesheet; i.e., the 1st–15th pay period appear in this queue.
Timesheet on Hold Queue
Tasks related to timesheets held randomly by the system for signature verification or manually by the County worker for a specific reason appear in this queue.
