What changed?
Note: Changes are shown highlighted in gray throughout the document.
The GR Mail-in/Fax Information Line – (866) 488-8482, is available to GR applicants who have mailed or faxed their GR application to the centralized Department of Public Social Services (DPSS) site and have questions about their mailed or faxed application. The information line is available Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
GR applicants can call the information line to make inquiries regarding the status of their application or to provide essential information needed to register their application in the CalSAWS. The information line is specific to this purpose; calls unrelated to a GR mailed or faxed application will be forwarded to the main CSC call queue.
The CSC V – Telstar has been designated as the centralized site for receiving GR applications mailed via United States (U.S.) mail and electronic fax. CSC V will keep and process applications received through the U.S. mail and fax.
GR district offices must display the PA 6162, GR Mail-In/Fax Information Line Poster in their lobbies to announce alternate avenues for applying for GR. The posters will be delivered to GR district offices in corresponding threshold languages.
GR applicants can apply for benefits via BenefitsCal, in person at any GR district office, or apply by U.S. mail or by electronic fax at:
