What changed?

The PA 6128, Museums and Gardens – Free Fun for Families, brochure was revised to reflect updated information for each of the participating organizations.

Note: Changes are shown highlighted in gray throughout the document.

Admission to the museums and gardens will allow low-income families the opportunity to experience, at no cost or reduced price, family-focused events that will expand their knowledge of art, culture, and history. Refer to the brochure for complete details and requirements:

1. Some of the museums and gardens offer free admission or a reduced price to individuals/families who present an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card:
   • For families, some museums and gardens mention eligibility is for any child under 18 years of age.
   • For families and individuals, some museums and gardens require a photo identification to be presented.
   • For families and individuals, some museums and gardens have designated days when the EBT card is accepted.
2. Some of the museums and gardens offer free admission to all visitors, regardless of EBT possession.

The brochure is the result of a Board Motion directing DPSS and the Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture to collaborate in soliciting museums throughout the County to offer free admission or reduced prices for CalWORKs and/or CalFresh families with children.
