Welcome to ePolicy for the CalFresh Nutrition Program!
Right here, you will find policies, procedures, and updates related to the CalFresh Program.
The CalFresh Program provides food assistance to low-income households (HHs), including the elderly and/or disabled, to promote and safeguard their health and well-being by increasing their food-buying power to purchase nutritious food for their households.
Individuals or HHs whose income is low and who meet other eligibility factors can receive CalFresh benefits. U.S. citizens, Legal Permanent Residents, and some non-citizens, such as Trafficking and Crime Victims Assistance Program (i.e., T/U Visa applicant/holder; Violence Against Woman Act; Domestic Violence) may receive CalFresh benefits. In California, Supplemental Security Income/State Supplementary Payment (SSI/SSP) beneficiaries are potentially eligible to receive CalFresh benefits as of June 1, 2019.
