    New information updated for Incarceration - Suspension of benefits:

    Staff must continue to follow the existing inmates suspension policy for incarcerated MC beneficiaries to suspend benefits. However, during the 90-day moratorium period staff must not discontinue MC benefits for incarcerated individuals as a result of reaching the 1-year Medi-Cal suspension time limit or due to renewal.

    Information: 

    This is to inform you that the Department of Health Care Services has issued instructions for county MEDS Local Security Officers (LSO) to submit all requests for resetting MEDS passwords through the current state Remedy ticket process. Due to a higher than expected call volume, counties are to refrain from using the Call-In option until further notice.

    MEDS users should contact their MEDS LSO to submit a Remedy ticket regarding MEDS password resets.

    If the MEDS LSO is out of the office, MEDS users can send the following information to the MEDS Help Desk at 19crdnt@dpss.lacounty.gov only. NOTE: Please do not copy anyone on the email because of confidentiality:

    Requests for NEW RACF ID#s should be directed to the MEDS LSO.
